Somewhere over the "RAIN"bow...

The trip to Oz was very curvy and long.  I'm going to list all the bad things first.
-The weather
-The wait
-The weather
-Carrying Emma for three hours (she would not walk or go to anyone else)
-The weather

Now the summary...
We loaded up at 1 and arrived close to 3.  Our loading time was 3:30 so we ended up waiting for the bus to drive us 20 mintues to the site.  We then had to wait to get into Dorthy's House to start the journey on the yellow brick road.  While we waited we toured a small museum and saw some farm animals.  We finally entered Dorthy's house and as we entered the basement the "storm" hit.  When we traveled got to the bottom of the stairs we were back in the house but it was damaged.  We saw the witches shoes and began our journey.  Stopping for pictures with the characters along the way.
Emma's Toms (she did not wear them once we got there, it was wet, cold and muddy!)

After this we stood to wait to get back on the bus.  It only took 45 minutes in the very chilly mist on the top of the mountain!  I should also note that Emma actually enjoyed herself more than it appears in the pictures.  She wasn't fond of the characters and just whined and clung to me.  She actually talked about the lion the entire way home. She is so silly!

Here's a little more info. about the whole thing.

    1. They were scary looking for sure! They were all nice and tried to make Emma see they weren't so scary. It's a really neat thing, they all volunteer there for the day. The money goes to keep the small part of the park restored. The rest has been destroyed due to skiers, hikers, and vandals.
My mom and dad took my brothers to the actually park before I was born. It closed before I was old enough to go. It's a really popular event and a lot of little girls were dressed as a character. There were a few boys dressed up too.
