Doctors, and Dentists, OH MY!

Today turned out to be a busy day. Emma had her two week recheck for the lingering ear infection.  The ear infection was gone, BUT she has a sinus infection and is on another antibiotic!  Oh the joys of being a daycare kid!  After leaving the doctor we went to get breakfast and ate at my dad's car lot.  While there dad put Emma to work.

While we were there, my sister-in-law texted me to see if Justin and Emma could go by and get their teeth cleaned (she is the family hygienist!)  So we picked up Emma's medicine and traveled across town for Emma's first dentist visit!  My SIL had me hold Emma in the chair while she counted her teeth and then brushed them.  We are going to have to make a few more trips before the actual cleaning occurs!  After she finished she played and watched her dad get the scrub down.  She even held his hand for a minute in case he was scared!

Last thing, my mom got Emma a pair of pink cowboy boots for Christmas and she wore them with a cute leopard print outfit.  I just love them!!!

Christmas Tour 2012

I finally have had a chance to sit down to catch a break!  I have a terrible cold (a gift from Emma) and I have unpacked and cleaned up Christmas all day.

Here's a summary of our Christmas... Christmas Eve we traveled to Justin's mom's.  We ate Italian food and the kids got gifts.  We later did a Christmas swap with his mom and step dad.

Christmas Day we got up and Emma opened her gifts.  Well, she jumped on her trampoline while we opened most of her gifts! Needless to say, a two year old would be set with just a trampoline and nothing more!

Emma's Mimi got her a Barbie Jeep.  She isn't so sure of it right now!

For lunch we headed up to my mom and dad's house for Christmas.  We had a fun time with my Mamaw Kat who joined us!

Mom and Dad got Emma this cute tricycle!  Can it be summer now?!?!?

Christmas night we went to visit Justin's grandfather and have Christmas with his dad and wife.  Here's Emma with Papa Bill who got her a super sweet easel!

Ornament

Here is Emma's ornament for this year.  While in HHI Erika helped make this a reality.  A teaching partner drew a the pattern from one I found online.  I think she turned out pretty great!  Last year Erika helped me make the owl I posted earlier.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  We did and I'm EXHAUSTED!

Christmas Island

Emma and I are home!  We had a nice whirlwind of a trip!  E, E and I did a 5k yesterday and then I drove back to Greenville for the night.  Emma and I both were ready to be home!  Quick trips are quite hectic with a toddler in tow!

We also ate at my favorite spot.  Signe's!  It was yummy as usual! I had broccoli quiche and Emma and I split a piece of pink lemonade cake!  SO GOOD! (Rachel Ray taped part of one of her shows there many years ago!

Christmas in the Sand

I need to add some pictures since I'm super behind.
Monday, Emma got her hair trimmed while I got a color and cut!
Ariel colored  a picture for Emma and followed us to South Carolina

I am officially on Christmas break.  Wednesday afternoon Emma and I loaded up and heading to Greenville for the night. Now we are in Hilton Head for a few days!

I think this little reindeer is enjoying herself!

Christmas Tag

My blogger friend and faithful commenter Johannah  tagged me in a Christmas post. I'm playing along so read my responses below....and Check the bottom cause you may be tagged next!!!

1.) What makes Christmas such a special holiday for you and your family?

I have always loved Christmas!  Christmas break and the time spent with my family has always been so meaningful!  I have such wonderful memories of time with my family of the year and now we have Emma to make memories with!

2. Were you told the truth about Santa Clause by your parents, or did you find out another way? Do you plan on telling your kids about Santa (if you have them or plan to have them)?

I think I figured it out on my own,  I found the "Santa presents" one year and put it all together.  I was maybe 9 or so.  I'm pretty sure I played it out so I could still get some good loot! I have already told Emma that Santa isn't "real" but she was super little, I didn't want to to say I had lied to her all these years!  (haaa)

3.) Real tree or fake tree?

We have had a fake tree for as long as I can remember.  I know mom and dad had real trees when I was super little. The mess that comes with a real one is too much for me to handle!

4. Do you open presents on Christmas morning, Christmas Eve, or both?

With my parents we always opened Christmas morning.  We do the same with Emma.  We have to travel to a billion places so we have gifts Christmas Eve, Christmas morning, and Christmas night!

5. What is your favorite Christmas movie to watch, and favorite Christmas song to sing or listen to?

Elf
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
Rudolph
Frosty
Charlie Brown
anything else that comes on that I get into!

I don't many followers that I think even read my blog, so I will just leave it at answers!

Catch up Thursday!

We survived 12.12.12!

We have been busy and crazy around here.  Tuesday night we went to the speedway to the Christmas lights and then played around in the infield fun area they have.  There's a shot of Emma going crazy when she should be sleeping and she shows off the outfit no one got to see last week!

26 months

That's right, I'm still doing monthdays for Emma!  I want to keep up with this as long as I can, because I like looking back on mom's pictures of me!

I'm going to try to list some of her funny sayings!
* Don't talka to me
* Look at me momma
* Hey, come back here!
* Follow, me momma
* NO SANTA!
* I want my momma.  I want my daddy. (when you aren't getting your way with the other)

We made the switch to pull-ups this weekend, and you have gone potty a few times on your own.  You still say you will not 2 in the potty, but there is time for that I hope! :)

Happy Monthday Sweet Emma!

Ariel was hanging from a cabinet today.  Nothing really exciting.  I'm running out of places in my tiny house!!

Sunday

Today we got the whole crew off to church!  Then we went to eat lunch at the mall with our friends Chelsey and Clayton.  Emma was super cute in her outfit number 1004 waahaaa!

I took this picture after lunch and she was so funny, telling me "NO MOMMA!"

Justin finished putting out Christmas stuff by putting these old light up things by our back door for Emma to enjoy! The snowman lost an arm in a windstorm a few years ago, so he added a flag!

Ariel was found on top of one of my Tiffany lamps!
