These are a few of my favorite....Ornaments!
So my blog buddy Johannah and a new friend Sarah posted a few of their favorite ornaments and I thought that would be much more interesting than anything else I had to post today!
The first one is this Waterford Crystal ornament from our first Christmas together, I was so excited to find this, because I went to the Waterford factory when I was in Ireland in 1999.
Next would be an ornament from Emma's first Christmas. Her G'daddy and Nana got her this and it is on the tree in her room.
Next would be the ornament I made for her last year. I made this owl when Emma and I went to HHI to visit my college roommate, Erika. We each made one as I wanted to start a tradition. Erika's parent's tree is full of handmade ornaments and I used that as my inspiration!
These next three are pretty special. The first one is a small paper Christmas card my mom sent out when my nephews were super little. I love putting it on the tree each year, brings a smile to my face to see how they have grown. The other two are of Emma (one from last year and the newest just arrived today!) I have one from her first Christmas, but it is hard to see.
No tree is complete without the Hokies and Vols!
The last ornament I will talk about will be the newest Vera Bradley one. I have added one every year to my tree. This one arrived this week and I love them all!
Here are a few more that I love looking at every year!
This was fun and I could probably add a ton more, but I will refrain and instead update you on Ariel. Today she was waiting for us on top of the cable box in our bedroom! This was the first day that Emma found her first!

Ear infection
Justin took Emma back to the doctor this morning (so lucky that he doesn't go into work until 11) She has an ear infection in one ear, so finally we can stop worrying and start getting back on the healthy track! I don't know if I mentioned this yesterday but she has been to the doctor with something once a month since starting daycare! ARGH! I guess better to expose her now!
I left work at 1 and so we have been napping on the couch!
When she woke up E wanted her nails painted and I had just picked up a new bottle of silver that is free of some of the yucky stuff!
Isn't is so pretty! (don't judge the mess, she is only 2 and can't sit completely still!)
I asked for a smile but she wasn't very still. The result, a fuzzy Em!
Ariel decided to glide around the kitchen. I wish she would have cooked up a little something!
Lastly, I thought I'd post pictures of our trees.
Don't you love the pile of toys beside every tree?! It goes to show this house is ruled by a little girl!

Halfway there.
I love when Wednesdays arrive quickly! It has been a baby filled day. Two co-workers were induced and one baby has arrived, I'm still waiting word on the second.
Emma's fever spiked AGAIN, but fingers crossed she woke up in a sweat this morning so hopefully it is broken and over with.
When I arrived home Emma had a package from her sweet Nana Sylvia and Pop pop Jerry.
(she has crazy hair because she pulled her hair-bow out!)
What a cute little Christmas Jumper!!!
Ariel found a spot on the curtain rod today. I think she is trying to stay out of reach of our dog!!!

Detention and temperatures
Tuesday after school is my day to do detention. I volunteered for this and I get paid...BUT sometimes the kids I have are no fun. I actually had to kick a kid out today. Straight up had to have the AP come get him and haul him off. Oh well, I only warned him a trillion times! Anywho...Emma is still fighting a fever. It spikes, we get it down and she's fine for hours (like 12) and then up it goes again.... ARGH!
Ariel decided she wanted to get a closer look at one of my P. Buckley Moss prints. She has been watching from the wall today. (She also has arms of steel to hang on that long!)
Today after I picked Em up she decided she was going to cook me mashed potatoes....

Monday Monday
There is nothing fun about going back to work after a break! At least I had this cute picture of E to look at (from Sunday!)
I also got to add some Christmas flavor to my classroom. Here is my computer snowman (hooks right into the usb port.) He changes color and makes me smile!
I also put up a small Christmas tree and another snowman. I put them beside my desk to bring me a little more joy!
Ariel has spent the day "hanging" around the kitchen table. (I want to try to document her various places so 1. I don't forget and 2. I don't flood facebook with all that It tends to get annoying seeing adults try to out do each other with their elf mischief! Ariel is going to just watch this year because I feel Emma is too little to really get the whole idea and I don't want her learning any bad habits from an elf! :) )

Meet Ariel...
Emma's very own Elf arrived this morning. (I think she was waiting for Emma to start feeling better, BUT E still has a temperature...)
After going through every girl name we know E finally decided on Ariel. Ariel is perched in the Christmas tree and seems well behaved. I don't believe she will cause much mischief this year!

Turkey Coma...
To sum up the past two days...
Friday at 12 my sister-in-laws and I went to the local mall to shop! I just wanted to head to Bath and Body Works so I could get the bag for $20 and use my many coupons! It was fun and we headed home about 3. On the way Justin called that Emma had woken up with a high temperature and then woke up again sick! So we spent the evening in the living room on towels on the floor. When we woke up we called and took her to the doctor. Just a bug and nothing we could do but wait. Emma spent the day curled up on her daddy's lap while we all slept. She started feeling some better later on in the night and slept pretty well (except for waking up with the high temperature again!)
Today we have just hung out around the house fighting the fever when it hops back up and decorating the Christmas trees. She has helped me with some laundry and we had a tea party or three... Right now she is runny around like crazy dragging her daddy from room to room to play!

Gobble Gobble.
"But Thanksgiving is more than eating, Chuck. You heard what Linus was saying out there. Those early Pilgrims were thankful for what had happened to them, and we should be thankful, too. We should just be thankful for being together.
I think that's what they mean by 'Thanksgiving,' Charlie Brown"
Happy stuffing!

Gymnastics
Justin or I have taken Emma to a parent/child play gymnastics time for a few months, Emma really likes going. She jumps and rolls (sideways), but for the life of herself she will not flip! It cracks me up. I thought I'd play around with the camera and get some shots so here she is.
