19 years

19 years ago it was April 28th, 1995
19 years ago, I was 17 and in the 11th grade.
19 years ago, I was more scared than excited.
19 years ago, I learned how big love could be more powerful than something so small.
19 years ago, 1 pound 9 ounces was something unthinkable.
19 years ago, I became an aunt for the first time.
19 years ago, I knew my heart had grown a little more.
19 years ago, I met Leighton.

(In the baby picture he was three months old and around 5 pounds!)

Days gone by

I'm so far behind on POD but I'll just dump them all here and get it out of the way.  There's not been a lot of exciting things going on so the POD is the summation of our spring life thus far!

So, jump in my time machine as we go back to mid April.....

I bought some second hand Naartjie stuff and I love it all. Thought I'd be ok with Emma getting dirt on it,  It was not as easy as I thought!

Another Naartjie set, the top is a little big but it worked for this super warm day we had!

The weather is suppose to turn rainy then chilly so I'm going to enjoy the rays while I can!

Spring/Easter Photos

Emma had some pictures done a few weeks ago and I just LOVE her sweet Minnie dress!

Easter fun

This has been a jammed packed weekend.  Emma has had a ton of fun!
We colored eggs Saturday morning, went to an egg hunt, and attempted (and failed) to see the Easter bunny!  Today we had church, lunch at my mom's and now we are waiting to leave for my MILs for dinner.

Emma's Puggle group made a resurrection display for church today.  I think they turned out great, they were all set up in the vestibule for the church goers to see them this morning!

We have hunted eggs and not napped so the next few hours should be fun!! LOL

Happy Easter to you all!

Last week we "tie" dyed eggs and Emma and Lauren dyed their own eggs!

Apparently, Emma wanted to have her picture taken laying down. My Toms wanted to have their picture taken as well.

Knox has been doing much better so we finally got him groomed today.  He looks so cute!

The daffodils are in bloom and tulips are almost ready! :)

Hello Spring!

We have had a major breakthrough this week.  Temps have been in the 70s all week and the weekend is in the 60s!  It has been so refreshing to not be cold constantly!!!  I keep leaving my jackets at school, I'm going to freeze on the way to work tomorrow!

My nephew, who is in 8th grade, made the high school JV team. Wednesday night was my first chance to go to a game.  We originally thought he was going to start, but he didn't.  The first inning was BRUTAL then I had to take my other nephew and Emma to church.  I decided to go back, the game was still a beating but after two pitchers allowed 13 runs, my nephew was headed out to the mound.  I was so nervous, I was afraid that the visiting team was going to keep on running up the score, but he was able to hold them to only two runs and he was able to score a run!  They didn't end up winning, but I was so glad I was there to see him do so well, with such big players!
