Brusha, Brusha, Brusha

The most exciting part of our week was Emma's trip to the dentist, and it was pretty uneventful.  The exception being that she helped "clean" my teeth and was put in charge of the rinse thingy and she pretty much soaked me.  That's the perk of having your sister-in-law being your hygienist! The rest of our week has included Emma being put on an abx for an out of nowhere ear infection and me feeling like total poo for the past few days.

Saturday we attended a Blue's clue party. It was good fun!

It was such a pretty day here today.  After church I enjoyed a nice little run and Emma wanted to enjoy being outside!

(Ha! Look, it's my shadow!)

The sad news is that they are calling for snow in the middle of the week!

Week Wrap-up (2-18-14)

Ahhh, another week in the books.  This week has been uneventful.  I was able to get a few runs in outside after school, that is so much better than the treadmill! Justin is at a conference for a few days so it's  Emma and me for a few nights!  Tomorrow, we have a birthday party so Emma has some awesome theme matching nails!

Going for Orange!

The end of the week was snowy.  We were able to bust out of the house Saturday and get our shopping done for the week.  Justin and I also went to see Ride Along.  It was a funny movie!

Valentine's Day we started out with pink pancakes then Emma and I took my mom to lunch and had Sweet Frog.  We then went to my Mamaw's house so Emma could visit and play with her for a little bit.

This outfit was from last year (24m,) I couldn't believe it still fit!  Score for two years of wear!
Emma loves the Pinkalicious books, so mom got her the last two to complete the collection for now! She also received a Sweet Frog gift card from our sweet neighbor and her Mimi gave her some money to go towards her swing set fund. She also got a special package from her Aunt and Uncle that had some stickers, candy and a gift card for a treat at Chick-fil-a!

Sunday we were invited to go watch the University of Tennessee Lady Vols play UK.  I am not a Big Orange fan but I sucked it up and wore orange and found Emma a cute shirt and painted her nails.  We had a great time, Emma was so good during the drive down and the game (thanks to the iPad when she got tired of watching!)

On the ride home Emma asked for a wipe and I looked over and she had done this to "get all the boogers" Never a dull moment!

We are on a 2 hour delay today so Emma has already headed to school via her dad to celebrate Valentine's Day since Friday was so yucky!  The weather is suppose to be much warmer this week and I'm so excited!

Snow, what a week!

That's right, it's back!  We were having a nice streak of going to school for eight days straight when the snow of the year hit.  As I look out my window we still have the snow globe effect going on.  Our road is clear (thanks to living close to the service station) It is suppose to stop in the next few hours! We have about 7 to 8 inches.  Our school system did the smart thing by sending us to school yesterday and planning to dismiss at 12.  It worked out perfect, by the time we got home at 1:45 the snow had started.
This is a "time lapse" of the past 24 hours starting at 7:45 am,Wednesday, before I left for work, then 1:45 when I got home and the snow started, third is yesterday afternoon after a few hours of snow. Then this morning while Justin was working to move the 1000 pounds of snow off the driveway.

A little daily rewind from the week.

Shortly after this photo the driveway ended up covered again, so before lunch we all bundled up to play and scrape! It is finally cleaned off and actually staying that way for now!

It appears that Emma is in pain, I think the brightness of the snow is making her look so strained.  Considering she rolled around in the stuff, I think it's safe to say she liked it!
Apparently, I suffer from the same pained look!
I got Emma warmed up to the sled by pulling her around and then just sending her on her way (while running beside her)  Then she finally let one of us send her down the hill!) She did however cry on her last run when the rope came out of her hand!

By request her favorite lunch, peanut butter sandwich, that I cut into a heart (by hand because I don't have those cute do-dads)

Friday night we went to eat with some friends and then headed home to watch the opening ceremonies.  That is one of my favorite parts of the Olympics.  Emma wore a seriously cute Naartjie outfit that I got second hand and she loved the ears on the hood and proclaimed herself a fox!
Emma spent the evening playing with Traci.  She play some games (that she cheated at, HAAHAA) and then styled her hair.  At one point Emma was in her sleeping bag and had Traci all "comfy" with a little tiny doll blanket having a "sleepover"

Saturday we went to a birthday party with two GIGANTIC bouncy houses.  Emma's BFF's were there and the three of them had a blast (most of the other kids were older)

Emma tried her hand at "driving" this weekend. She likes to push every button possible and she helped me make some cinnamon rolls and a cake this week.

There is a chance of some snow this week. I hope we survive without missing any more days of school! I want my summer break!
