Weekend review

Friday we spent the evening at home!

Saturday, I sent J to gymnastics with Emma and I did a little running around.  After Emma's nap we went to see Skyfall (Justin and I) It was one of the better Bond films (of course I love seeing Daniel Craig!)

Sunday, we hung around the house and I went to sign up for a 5k at the racetrack through the Christmas lights.  When I got there they were out of shirts so I said, no thanks and spent the evening at home with my gal!  Of course it was very nice Sunday so I took some snap shots of Emma in her Thanksgiving dress.  Here are a few of the dress.

25 months

Because I can and because a friend sent me a text reminding me!

She is a talker that is for sure.  She is very stubborn and set in her ways.  Just this week she didn't like what I was saying to her so she said, "Don't talka to me, Mama"  Just now she told me to leave the bathroom while Justin was giving her a bath.  Oh dear, oh dear.

Some more thankful fors....

I'm thankful for Emma's daycare.  It is run by my parents church and they teach them some of the cutest things.

I am thankful for her teachers, they love her when I am not there!

I am thankful for Puggles (AWANA) Emma still has issues when I drop her off, but she loves being there and learning what God made!

I'm thankful for good election conversations with co-workers.  Knowing that even though we didn't vote the same we don't have to call each other names! :)

I'm thankful for my parents and siblings.  They do so much and I'm so happy to have them a phone call and just a quick trip down the road away.

I'm thankful for my friends.  They are so loving to Emma and she is super lucky to have such an extended line of Aunts and Uncles!

That should do for a few days!!

Da Bears

I should be getting ready for work, but instead I sit here writing a post....

Well, Emma's temperature dropped and Saturday we were able to load up and head to Nashville for our first ever trip away from Emma (only my second night away from her, the first being during a kidney stone attack)

We headed out Saturday after lunch, lost an hour and went shopping!  Saturday evening our friends made it in and we headed to Buffalo Wild Wings and then played Uno in the hotel lobby area.  It was a lot of fun to be so "lame"

Sunday morning after enjoying our free breakfast thanks to Hampton Inn we headed to downtown N'ville to park and get to the stadium.  It was an amazing sight! My first ever experience like that and I loved it.  The game was boring in spots because of all the commercial breaks.  Justin and I got antsy and left at the start of the 4th so we could get home to see Emma before she went to bed.

So after gaining two hours and then coming back into EST I think we are on track!  Who knows, I may already be late for work!

Well, I left this post hanging all day!  So it's picture time!

Traci and I walked into the lobby and about died laughing that we were dressed EXACTLY alike!

So we had to make matching bear faces through out the stadium!

After bear face posing I took a few more snaps with Justin.
A view from our seats...
Bears have arrived!
National Anthem
Let's get this started!
The Bears ended up DESTROYING the Titans.  It was a good time for all the Bears in Nashville!

Thankful for...

On facebook everyone is doing the "I'm thankful for days" I think I will make that my challenge here, to post and share what I'm thankful for this year.  I am already three days behind and I will not be around until late tomorrow so I'll have a few days of catch up here and there.

November 1- The first thing I am thankful for is Emma.  I'm thankful for everything she has brought to me. I'm thankful for her health and laughter.  I'm very lucky to be her mommy and I wouldn't trade the fits and testing of limits for anything!

November 2- I'm thankful for Justin, he is such a good daddy.  He has taken Emma to the doctor this week, he has been the catcher of things I can't handle, and he is the best play buddy Emma has ever known!

November 3- Today I'm thankful for a lower temperature.  Emma has been fighting something since Wednesday.  We have called the doctor everyday since and that is another long story, but we have just been playing the waiting game.  Last night, she finally slept through the night (she tossed and turned) but her fever stayed down.  I never thought I'd be so happy to see 100.3 and 99.7 in my life!!  Now that things seem to be in the clear Justin and I will be leaving for Nashville for the night.  Tomorrow we are going to be watching the Bears play the Titans.  I'm pretty excited for my first NFL game.  Emma will be in good hands, my sister-in-law is a nurse and of course Mom is going to be my worrier!

Trick or Treat

We only hit a few houses tonight, Emma is working on a rough cold and it is still super chilly around here!

Here's Emma with our Mamaw Kat!

Here she is with her cousins, "Average Joe" and Garett...

On the way to Trick or Treat at Mamaw and Papaw's house...

Happy Halloween!
