Friday Faves.

Because Johanna has me looking forward to Friday posts!

So, I basically fell in love with this last night....
Chick fil A has my whole heart!

I love EOS eggs and as since it's almost Easter...

Every single workday I have a bowl of Cheerios.

It's allergy season and I just had to restock on the generic brand

But my most favorite part of this week was seeing these three enjoy a few more soccer practices!

Happy Spring

We have finally found a light, in the south, to the end of the winter tunnel!  We had a pretty low key week.  Yesterday Emma was a little silly and wild and decided that she and Knox needed to dance around with bunny ears. Knox's ears wouldn't fit on his head so......

Today, I did the prep on silk ties for the dyeing process that will take place next week for our annual tie dyed Easter eggs!

I told you it was a low key week, that's all I got except for her weekly photo!

(For the record, I HATE the neck on this dress!  It does not fit well at all.  I have it pinned in this picture and it's still huge!)

St. Paddy's

The O' family loves St. Patrick's!!  I was even so lucky to study abroad in Ireland once upon a Maymester!

Leprechaun pose

Luck filled accessories!
Cute as an Irish bug
All a bit of good craic! (good fun)

I mean, she get's it honest!

It's All Right

What a wonderful sunny day!!!  I love the limbo of March, still winter but spring is fighting through! This week we donned all the St. Paddy's day wear.

and of course we have nails for the occasion too!

Emma started Kinder soccer.  She had her first practice this week.  She is super excited!  She wasn't too aggressive during practice, I think that will take some work, but she did cry pretty awesome like when a teammate pushed her down! (I then told her to push back, I will not  put up with that!)
She is on a team with her BFFs, Luke and Emmie!
How cute is this?!!  I mean GAH!  Cute outfit from Sam's Club!

Easter pictures took place yesterday, and there was a REAL LIFE bunny involved and there was no freakout!  AMEN!
I asked to document this moment with my phone.  I was so proud!

We also headed out to see Cinderella.  I loved it, E loved it.  I loved her face with the Frozen short came on, it was pure magic!!  Emma said her favorite part of the movie was when Cinderella danced with the prince in her pretty dress!
Emma of course dressed the part in her upcycled dress by Sassasaurus Upcycles

Weekend Getaway.

Friday, I picked up Emma and we packed up the car and headed to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Along with some friends, we rented a cabin from Friday night until Monday.  Before heading up the mountain to our cabin we grabbed a bite at The Blue Moose, a burger/wings place in The Forge.

Saturday morning we hung out and then headed back down the mountain to get some supplies and grab lunch and do a little shopping at The Island. While there we rode the giant ferris wheel they have there, and Emma played in the arcade!

Like the clorox wipes!  ha!

The Island has a Margaritaville Cafe, so we checked it out (because we were STARVING!) Emma eats very little when we are out, she usually wants a salad to pick at.

I should note that Emma was not feeling the best and without a nap so in most of the photos she looks like she is hating life!  She really had a good time!

Saturday night we fixed taco soup and enjoyed the cabin.  Emma and I crashed out pretty early and the rest of the gang played games!
Sunday morning we had a big breakfast of pancakes, bacon, and fruit.  After breakfast we headed down so the big kids could ride the Alpine Coaster and then we spent the rest of the time at the outlets and enjoyed Emma's favorite eating spot, Steak n' Shake!

This morning we took our time loading up and just piddled around so we could meet up with my mom to help her switch out campers.

It was a fun weekend and I have to head back to work from being off since last Thursday (weather days plus a personal day!)

Week 10
3-8-15

To end with I want to share this picture of Emma... I swear this is a tough age for dealing with her attitude.  She pouts, cries, and is grumpy over some of the craziest things!  She was made at me because I would not let her have the iPad the moment she wanted it!  REALLY!!!

I mean she has an awesome watch and a can of Pringles.  How could she not be happy?

Friday Favorites

I'm stealing the title and the idea, BUT today I am just sharing my five favorite things about Emma's Read Across America Week.  It's basically an Instagram recap!

1. Favorite Dr. Seuss book; Emma picked The Foot Book.

2. Dr. Seuss inspired nails. I found a picture on Pinterest and then kinda picked my ideas. Her thumb is Green Eggs and Ham, Index finger is Cat in the Hat, Middle Finger Thing 1 (Thing 2 on the other hand,) Star Belly Sneetch on the ring finger and her pinky had a Truffula tree.

3. Wacky Wednesday; Emma had fun with this one, she liked having different shoes on this year (hated it last year!)

4. Crazy Socks; this was actually Monday (I forgot about it while typing!) We just picked out two sets of Easter socks from the dollar bin at Target!

5. Dr. Seuss character; This is a repeat from last year.  I made the shirt and it was big enough to wear again so I added some yellow skinny jeans and a collar (made from an old t-shirt, like her pilgrim collar from November!)

A few extra things: We have been out the past two days for ice.

Emma was able to get to school today.  We leave this afternoon for a weekend at a cabin in Pigeon Forge with some friends so that is pretty exciting!
Emma was excited to get back to AWANAS this week after a two week hiatus.

Have a great weekend.  I wrap up with one more photo of my cute Sneetch!

Marching into something

Hello March! This weekend we celebrated birthdays and a warm up.  The snow isn't close to being gone, but it's slowly disappearing!

This was the view out of my bathroom window.  I reached out and grabbed one and that sucker was HUGE!
Sorry about the toilet shot, but that was the only way to fit the icicle in!

Emma stayed with my MIL Friday night then came home long enough to nap before going up to hang with mom and dad for a few hours.  When we went to pick her up she serenaded us.

My youngest nephew turned 13 today!  We celebrated last night and I ran out on my lunch break and got him Chick-fil-a!  I mean I am the coolest aunt EVER!!
He had a pick of any cake for his mom to make and he picked a dump cake!
Emma loves her Gie-Gie
G and his cousin (both sides minus my oldest nephew)
He wanted money for a PS4 so that was a majority of his gifts (other than this gun and a new baseball glove!)
