2 hour delays for days

I do believe this is the first year in the history of my school system that we have not missed a day due to weather.  I'm ok with that because we have a mid May dismissal date!  We have however had a lot delays due to the extreme cold and a random snow that came out of nowhere this week.

We had a pretty low key week.  I have started trying to work out since running in the cold air is not my thing.  I also rejoined WW so I can get some pounds have have just crept on this year especially!
Justin went to a conference this weekend so Emma and I just hung out. She hid in her dad's suitcase when he was trying to pack. Saturday we met my friend Ashley in Johnson City for lunch!  It was a nice little trip and meal.  I also bought myself a new bible from Lifeway while we were there!

Emma practiced some writing this weekend as well.  I thought she did a good job with me spelling out some things to her!

Justin found Frozen cereal at the store today.  Really?!?  Soon we will be pooping snowflakes!! haahaa!
Week 3
Emma's picture for this week.  This is what I call a "vintage" Gymboree dress.  It's super cute and was a hand-me down of a hand-me down.  It is in great shape and I thought she pulled it off super well!

A freezing cold week.

This week was back to work but had two days worth of two hour delays due to the low wind-chills in the area.  We went to my nephew's basketball game and cubbies (she was only 1 of 2 there that night due to the cold) and enjoyed a nice ice cream treat (in the freezing cold!) We rounded up the week with a gymnastics birthday party!

My nephew is #20

How cute are the these boot socks?!?!

Week 2
I bought this crazy outfit from Kohl's yesterday.  I loved them both so much and wish they were in my size!!!

Happy 2015

2014 was a fun year!  Taking a picture of Emma everyday was really fun.  I will continue to do so but on a weekly basis.  I figure Sunday will be the best day, she's ready for church and I've had time to curl her hair!!!
The last three days of the year wrapped up Emma365!
NYE we attended the annual party with our friends.  The kids played and we played various games and laughed a lot!!
Emma made it to past midnight again.  This kid cracks me up!

New Year's Day Emma and I loaded up and drove to South Carolina to visit may favorite people in the state!  We had lunch with Ashley's family then had Chuy's for dinner and then went to find our favorite Christmas lights display!
Emma did not make the trip with me last year so I was super excited for her to see it.  She said halfway through, "Mommy, I don't want to leave these beautiful lights!"  I was so excited she loved it so much!

Friday morning we met up with Ashley's family and did a little run around the park and then let the kids "hill sled"  It was as much fun as snow sledding, it was warmer and drier!  Emma wasn't too brave at first, but she slowly warmed up enough to where she wanted to go down without any help!  We had a great time!

We headed home Saturday morning and spent the evening watching my nephew's JV team play.  They won, it was super exciting!   We then went to eat and headed home for some sleep!  Sunday we had church and a birthday party!  It's so hard to believe this break went by so fast!  Back to work and school for us tomorrow!!!

I have decided to to a weekly photo of Emma this year.  So here is week one!

Christmas 2014

Christmas is always so jammed packed for us, it has been a little more low key for the past two years, but it is still a lot of running and a ton of fun!

Christmas Eve
We celebrate with Justin's mom and family on Christmas Eve.  We have Italian inspired food and a lot of loud fun.  The kids play and then open a few gifts.  After some of the extended family leaves we open gifts with Chris and her husband, Alan.

We got home right before 10 and still hadn't made cookies for Santa, so we did the quickest cookie bake ever!  Emma left carrots for the reindeer as well.
Finally, Emma was off to sleep and we awaited Santa's arrival!  Emma slept until after 8 the next morning!

After gifts I fixed a nice little pancake and bacon breakfast.   My mom and dad always stop by to check out the loot.  My whole family lives on the same road so they go by all three of their kids' homes and see what the grandkids received!

For lunch we head up to my parents house where we eat and exchange gifts.  Mamaw Kat was able to come up as well. Since we had no other destination this year, we helped set up mom's new television, dad's new sound bar and their iPads.
I didn't get pictures of may gifts, but Emma got a life sized Elsa doll. She was so funny she danced with it and then when we came home put on her Elsa dress and pretended she was a doll and we had to figure out which one was Emma!

Saturday we wrapped up Christmas with Justin's dad and family.  Emma loves playing with her cousins Ava and Adam (mostly Ava!) After lunch the boys played bocce.  (I've included the winner's picture.) Side note: this is my favorite part of the tour of food because there is always a guaranteed PEACAN PIE from costco. (YUM!!!)

Daily Catch-up

Emma has gone to spend the night with her Mi-mi so after a back to back adventure at the movies to see Into The Woods and Night at the Museum, I decided to catch up on the pictures from the #emma365 project! I can't believe this is the last week of the year!

Merry Christmas

I'm so behind here. I will try to catch up in the next few days.  For now, our Christmas card!  Merry Christmas! (late)

Thanksgiving Eve eve...

I know terrible title, but hey, it's a middle of the week post.... SAY WHAT?!?!

Today was my last day of work and Emma's last day of school before break!  Her school did a Thanksgiving story/feast and Emma wanted to be a Pilgrim.  (Firmly told me that she "DID NOT" like indians.)  Thanks to my sister-in-law, we made a SUPER quick, SUPER easy outfit.

I used this blog for the collar and apron and this site for her bonnet.  I was pretty excited about how it turned out.

We have some busy days coming up so I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and remember to Gobble until you Wobble!!!
